Neutralizing
The flushed water is collected and neutralized in the neutralizing
tub. The feed water containing residual chemical traces can be
well mixed (plastic hand mixer) with the neutralizing agent.
Discharge into drain
The concentration of the neutralized water must be controlled by
means of a chlorine dioxide measuring kit prior to discharge into
drain.
The neutralized water can be discharged secure into drain after
such control.
Caution!
Any local conditions in respect of discharge
into drain shall be regarded!
Chemical tubs
The empty chemical tubs must be kept in
the store for chemicals.
Residues in the tubs must be neutralized and
disposed of in accordance with the local
conditions of discharge into drain prior to the
tubs being disposed.
5.3 Putting the plant out operation
Plant flushing
The plant must be flushed according to point 5.2
Caution!
Reactor and pipes must be totally flushed
and free from any chemicals!
Putting the control out of
operation
- The
“OFF” button must be pressed; the LED “FAILURE“ lights
- The main switch shall be set to
“OFF” position and the control
removed from mains.
Plant discharge
- The ball cocks at input / output of the plant must be closed.
- The discharge ball cock must be provided with a hose for water
discharge and the discharge itself opened.
- The screw connection of the non-return valve above the
pressure measuring must be opened a bit so that air can
penetrate into the system.
- The reactor board and the ball cock for the water supply must
be opened. The screw connection of the non-return valve shall
be opened somewhat to guarantee a better discharge.
- All loose screw connections must be retightened again after
plant discharge.
Discharge
of
connecting
pipes
Discharge of any connecting pipes must be realized and
guaranteed locally.
