8.3 Changing the coalescing elements
The coalescing elements wear out very dependent on the contami-
nation level of the operating medium. This means that the mainte-
nance cycle can change accordingly.
1x wrench = 13 mm
1x hexagon socket wrench = 10 mm
1x container for collecting the contents, volume see chapter Tech-
nical data [
}
25] .
To replace the coalescing elements, proceed as follows:
1. Switch the plant/the external pump/the unit off.
2. Shut the shut-off valve on the connection INLET OIL and
OUTLET OIL.
3. To do this, perform a pressure release.
Carefully unscrew the air-vent plug (2310) in the cover using
the Allen key
= 10 mm.
4. To drain the coalescing housing, open the shut-off valve at
the connection DRAIN and/or DRAINWATER.
Catch the free water/oil with a suitable container and dispose
of it in an environmentally friendly manner.
5. When the coalescer housing is completely drained, close the
shut-off valve on the connection DRAIN and/or DRAINWA-
TER.
6. Loosen the upper tensioning clamp on the coalescing hous-
ing with a screwdriver = 13 mm by turning it counterclock-
wise.
