H-40 ELECTRICAL CONTROLS
HYDRAULIC START
Starts hydraulic pump and enables BLADE START PUSHBUTTON
PUSHBUTTON
when depressed. Button is illuminated when hydraulic pump motor
contactor is engaged and pump motor is running. Pushbutton must
be held in until the hydraulics start and the DIGITAL READOUT turns on.
EMERGENCY STOP
Stops blade and hydraulic motors. Head motion will stop and
PUSHBUTTON
vise clamping pressure will begin to fall off. Long pieces of clamped
material should always be supported so they will not fall in this
eventuality.
BLADE MOTOR START
Only active with hydraulics running and saw head up off of lower
PUSHBUTTON
limit switch. Depressing button starts the blade.
BLADE MOTOR STOP
Momentarily depressing the button will stop the blade motor.
PUSHBUTTON
Blade motor will stop automatically when head reaches head
down limit switch.
HEAD CONTROL
Three maintained positions : UP, HOLD, and DOWN. UP causes
SWITCH
head to rise until it mechanically cannot raise any higher or the
switch is moved to HOLD. In HOLD head movement stops. In the
DOWN position the head will descend until it reaches the lower
limit switch. The speed or rate of descent is controlled by the FEED
RATE VALVE.
FRONT VISE
Three position switch : when the CLOSE is selected the switch
SWITCH
will maintain this postion and the vise will close. When OPEN is
selected the vise will open until the switch is released from this
position, at which time the switch is spring returned to the center
positon. In center position the vise will not open or close, although
it will not resist a large force indefinitely without creeping.
REAR VISE
Operation is the same as the FRONT VISE SWITCH.
SWITCH
COOLANT SWITCH
Three maintained positions : WASH, OFF and ON. In WASH, the
coolant pump will run continuously, allowing for machine wash
down without the hydraulics running or blade running. OFF
deactivates the coolant pump. ON provides coolant flow only
while the blade is running.
BLADE TENSION
Located in the idler wheel box, is a three position maintained
SWITCH
switch : Normal running position is + RUN . This position will keep
constant tension on the blade . In the center HOLD position the
idler wheel is held in position with no tension applied to the blade.
The " -" position retracts the idler wheel, releasing blade tension
and allowing for blade removal.
GUIDE ARM SWITCH
Three position, spring centered switch. When held to the IN
position, the moveable guide arm will move in toward the fixed
guide arm. OUT retracts the moveable arm away from the fixed
guide arm. When released, the switch returns to the center position
allowing no guide arm movement.
