6.3 General rules and safety checks
•
Before using the machine, check the effectiveness and perfect operation of the safety devices. Check that
the moving parts of the machine are not blocked, that there are no damaged elements and that all of the
machine components are positioned correctly and that they work properly.
•
Verify that the motor-guard switch works correctly by testing it during a no-load cycle of the machine.
•
It is absolutely prohibited to manipulate any safety device.
•
It is absolutely prohibited to work without the guards in place.
•
It is mandatory to use gloves when changing the saw blade.
•
It is mandatory to use officially approved work clothing, which must be fastened.
•
Before starting work, the operator must be sure to remove all tools and wrenches that have been used for
any maintenance or adjustments.
•
In the event of fire, use powder extinguishers and disconnect the machine from the electric system.
7. Recommendations and maintenance
7.1 Type and frequency of checks
The operator’s knowledge of the machine is one of the best ways of daily control of any possible anomaly. If
any failure is detected, work must be stopped and qualified personnel must be informed.
Note
Always clean the machine and the work area at the end of the workday.

7.2 Problem solving and corrective maintenance
Problem Possible causes
No power to the automata. Main power supply.
Verify that it receives current.
Power supply status.
Emergency stop and end-of-travel guard.
The frame lowers erratically. Decrease the down approach.
Oil level in the hydraulic power pack.
Lubricate frame cylinder bolts.
The saw vibrates when cutting or there is
premature wear. Decrease the cutting speed.
Tighten the blade tension.
Check the guides.
The cut does not come out straight or the Saw blade status.
