5.5 Cutting coolant
When filling the cutting coolant, only use recommended cutting oil and pour it in through the coolant down-tube
on the machine mount.
Caution
When it is necessary to empty the liquid coolant tank, do not improperly dispose of the
coolant.
Attention
The use of any other kinds of coolants may cause irreparable damage to the machine, as
well as diminish the quality of the cut and reduce the life of the saw.
6. Instructions for use
6.1 Proper and improper use
Band saw machine for cutting all kinds of ferrous materials.
Use of the machine for cutting other materials is prohibited. Such use may cause damage to the machine and
risk the safety and health of the worker.
Danger
We are hereby not liable for any possible accident caused by the failure to comply with
the aforementioned provision.
6.2 Function of the operating mechanisms

1. MANUAL/SEMI-AUTOMATIC operating mode selector.
2. Red SEMI-AUTOMATIC CYCLE STOP button. When it is pushed, the cutting blade stops, the coolant
stops flowing, and the frame lifts a few centimetres.
3. Red HYDRAULIC POWER PACK STOP button. Disconnect the power pack when the machine is idle and
before turning the machine off.
4. Black FRAME DOWN button, only in manual mode. The cutting blade descends in rapid approach. It is
used only for maintenance and for graduating the end-of-travel when the frame raises.
5. CLAMP OPEN in manual mode. The hydraulic power pack must be connected.
6. Manual mode BLADE START.
7. Manual mode SAW STOP. It cannot be used in automatic mode.
8. EMERGENCY STOP button with interlock. It cuts the power supply to the automata and stops the
machine completely. Use only in the event of an emergency.
9. CUTTING PRESSURE REGULATOR. Depending on the cross section of the material to be cut, it allows
the saw to apply greater pressure on the material when it descends. CUTTING BLADE BREAKAGE
PROTECTION SYSTEM.
10. DOWN REGULATOR. It increases the descending approach of the saw cut in the semi-automatic mode.
11. Red ALARM INDICATOR light. It turns on when one of the motors fails: main motor, hydraulic power pack
motor or coolant pump.
12. Green POWER INDICATOR light. It turns on when the main machine switch has power.
13. Orange BLADE TENSION INDICATOR light. It remains lit when the blade is not correctly tensed.
14. SPEED REGULATOR. Adjust according to the material to be cut. At high speeds, vibrations may appear
in the blade. If so, reduce the speed.
15. Manual mode, black CLOSE CLAMP button.
16. RAISE FRAME, manual mode.
17. Orange HYDRAULIC POWER PACK ON lighted button.
18. Green SEMI-AUTOMATIC CYCLE ON lighted button.
19. COOLANT SELECTOR. When activated, the machine supplies coolant while cutting material.
