Bridging Stitch
The bridging stitch sews two piec es of fab ric or trim
with edg es butt ed to geth er. Use this tech nique to join
strips of lace and/or rib bon and to stitch them to a
fi n ished fab ric edge. The bridg ing stitch is pre ferred
for this type of join ing for a fl at, neat re sult.
Fabric: Short piece of edging lace and linen fab ric
with one edge turned under or fi nished.
Touch: Stitch A

Use:
Presser foot B as rec om mend ed.
• Place the pieces to be joined edge to edge in the
center of presser foot B. Then they are perfectly
aligned as you sew.
Sew:
The right zigzag stitch of the bridging stitch will
catch the lace on the right and the left zigzag, the
fabric on the left. The straight stitch sews between
the two pieces of fabric, ribbon or lace.
Optional: Snap on the optional Edge Join ing pres ser
foot, to guide the lace and fabric.

Use the lette ring for monograms, gift items, to la bel
and date quilts and other end less pos si bil i ties.
Stitch d-Card O

includes three men us; upper case
letters, lower case letters and numbers/spe cial
characters. On the Stitch d-Card the lower case menu
is pic tured in the lower left corner of the stitch area.
The number/special characters menu is pic tured in
the low er right corner.
By touching on the Stitch d-Card you can step
be tween the menus. The current menu is indicated
on the Touch Sceen by A.., a.. or 1..
