Installing T1 interface
modules
Perform the following procedure to install T1 modules into the BSC
chassis assembly.
Caution
Wear an electrostatic discharge (ESD) wrist strap at
all times while handling circuit modules. Attach the
strap’s alligator clip to an unpainted metal surface
on the rack or one of the BSC chassis frames.
1.
Remove a T1 interface module (see table 2-1) from its shipping
container. Save the container in case you return a module for
service.
2.
Insert the module into slot 1 (top) of the card cage (refer to
figure 2-26 for locations). Extend the upper and lower
ejector/injectors as shown in figure 2-27.
