Three-phase energy meter field calibrator
3.5 Transformation ratio measurement
Transformation ratio measurement is designed for electricity inspection. When primary
current is selected, the corresponding clip-on ammeter is placed on the interface of A-phase
clip-on ammeter, and C-phase 5A clip-on ammeter is placed on the secondary TA, to measure the
primary current value (I1), secondary current value (I2), and the angle the (ФI1I2) and TA ratio
between the primary current and secondary current. Via this function, you can easily find out the
fault, such as the TA secondary circuit breaker, bad contact and the turn to turn short circuit within
TA.
For example: test A-phase TA transformation ratio, and A-phase primary current 500A
through TA secondary is input to the energy meter as 5A.
Operating method:
1. Connect 500A clip-on ammeter to A-phase clip-on ammeter interface, and connect 5A
clip-on ammeter to the C-phase clip-on ammeter interface;
2. Clip the big clip-on ammeter on the A-phase TA primary, and clip the small clip-on ammeter
on TA secondary (note the current direction);
3. After starting the instrument, press
