Step 1

Click System Management > IP Management > IPv4 to display the page as shown in Figure
3-8.

Step 2

Click the Edit icon in the right-hand column of Default item, the configuration page is shown
as follows.

Item

Description

Management mode

There are two ways to obtain IP address: manual configuration and
DHCP (Default: manual configuration)

VLAN ID

Select management VLAN ID from the drop-down menu.

Status

Choose to enable/disable this management interface.

IP Address

The fixed IP management address that user can manually configure
when IP address method is selected “manual”. Valid IP addresses
consist of four numbers, 0 to 255, separated by periods. (Default:
192.168.1.253)

Subnet Mask

This mask confirms the host address bits used for routing to
specific subnets. (Default: 255.255.255.0).

Secondary

The secondary IP address of the switch.

Step 3

Specified management mode is DHCP.

Step 4

Click Apply to apply all the changes made.
