cable labeled as RX should be connected with the cable labeled as TX in the
opposite equipment.
Step 3: Power on the router and check the status of READY indicator on the front panel
of the router. It is on when the module has completed self-check and works normally. It
is off when the module fails to pass the self-check. In this case, please contact the local
agent of Huawei.
Step 4: Power on the router and check the status of LINK indicator of 1E1. It is off when
the line is faulty and signal is out of synchronization.
II. Connecting interface cable of 2E1 module
Step 1: Make sure which of the two E1 interfaces in the 2E1 module is to be connected
to the E1 interface cable.
Step 2: Please plug one end of the 2E1 cable with the DB-15 connector to the E1
interface of the 2E1 module.
Step 3: Please connect the other end of the 2E1 interface cable to the corresponding
device:

If the RJ-45 connector is used, directly connect it with the corresponding device.

If the BNC connector is chosen, connect the cable labeled TX to that labeled RX in
the corresponding device, and the cable labeled RX to that labeled TX of the
corresponding device.
Step 4: Power on the router and check the status of READY indicator on the front panel
of the router. It is on when the module has completed self-check and works normally. It
is off when the module fails to pass the self-check. In this case, please contact the local
agent of Huawei.
Step 5: After powering on the system, please check the LINK indicator of 2E1. It is off
when the line is faulty and signal is out of synchronization.
III. Connecting interface cable of 4E1 module
Step 1: Please plug the DB-25 end of 4E1 interface cable to the DB-25 connector of
4E1, and then screw up the knob to fix the cable.
Step 2: Determine which of the four DB-15 connectors of 4E1 cable is to be connected
with the corresponding device.
Step 3: Please connect the other end of the E1 cable to the corresponding device:

If the RJ-45 connector is used, directly connect it to the corresponding device.

If the BNC connector is chosen, the cable labeled TX should be connected with a
cable labeled RX in the corresponding device, and the cable labeled RX should be
connected with the cable labeled TX of the corresponding device.
