54 Using Phone Features and Managing Contacts
Call voice mail
The voice mail icon (
) appears in the status bar when you receive a new voice
mail message.
To call voice mail
Touch and hold the status bar, then slide your finger downward on the screen
to open the notifications panel.
Touch the new voice mail message item in the list.
To use the Dialer to call voice mail
Press the CALL button, then touch the
Dialer
tab.
Touch and hold the
number 1
key on the dialer.
Note
If you have not set up your voice mail number, a
missing voice mail number
error
message appears on the screen when you touch and hold the number 1 key. For
more information on how to set up your voice mail number, refer to “Adjust the Phone
Settings” in this chapter.
You can also make calls from Call log and the Contacts applications. See “Using Call
Log” and “Using Contacts” in this Chapter for details.
2.3 Answering or Rejecting a Call
When you receive a phone call from someone in Contacts, the Incoming call screen
appears and displays the caller ID icon, name, and phone number of the calling
party. When you receive a phone call from someone who is not stored in Contacts,
only the default caller ID icon and phone number will appear on the Incoming call
screen.
