To apply a label to an e-mail conversation
Labels that you have applied on your Gmail on the web will be reflected on the
phone.
1.
In the Inbox, touch and hold a conversation, then touch
Change labels
on
the menu.
2.
On the Labels menu, select the label(s) you want to apply to the e-mail
conversation.
Labels already applied to the conversation are marked with
.
Labels not applied to the conversation are marked with
.
Note
To remove the label, touch the label again.
3.
Touch
OK

To apply a star to a conversation
A star (
/
) is a special system-provided label. Use stars to mark important
conversations or e-mail messages. You can star an entire conversation or just a
message inside a conversation.
Starred e-mail messages on your Gmail on the web will be reflected on the phone.
Do one of the following in a conversations list:
On the message header of a message, touch the star icon on the right.
While reading a conversation, press MENU and then touch
Add star
.
To remove the star, touch the star again on the message header.
To filter conversations by label
In the Inbox, press MENU and then touch
View labels
.
Touch the label of the conversations you want to view. The conversations list is
filtered to show only messages with the label you selected.
3.
Press BACK to return to the Inbox.
