Reboot Switch
Reboot Switch
Use this feature to perform a software reboot of the switch. If you applied configuration changes, click
the
Save Configuration
button in the upper right of any page before rebooting. If the switch is config-
ured to use DHCP to acquire its IP address, the address may change upon restart; you will need to
determine the address before logging back in to the management utility.
To display the Reboot Switch page, click

>
Reboot Switch

to reboot the switch.
Factory Defaults
You can use the Reset Configuration page to restore all settings to their factory default values. All con-
figuration changes, including those that were previously saved, are reset in the running system by this
action.If the switch is configured to use DHCP to acquire its IP address, the address may change upon
restart; you will need to determine the address before logging back in to the management utility.
To display the Factory Defaults page, click

>
Factory Defaults

Reset
to restore the system to the default settings.

It is recommended that you back up the current configuration file prior to restoring the
factory defaults configuration. See
“Backup and Update Manager” on page 90
for
instructions.
