Apply
to save any changes for the current boot session. The changes take effect immediately
and are applied to each of the selected interfaces. The changes are not retained across a switch reset
unless you click
Save Configuration
.
Port Summary Statistics
The Port Summary Statistics page displays statistics on packets transmitted and received on each port
or trunk. These statistics can be used to identify potential problems with the switch. The displayed val-
ues are the accumulated totals since the last clear operation.
To display the Port Summary Statistics page, click
Switching
>
Port Configuration
in the navigation
pane and select the
Statistics
tab.

Field
Description
Interface
The interface or interfaces to be configured.
Admin Mode
Select
Enabled
to make the port accessible on the network, or
Disabled
to prevent the port
from receiving or forwarding packets.
Physical Mode
Select the duplex mode and transmission rate for the selected interface. The options may
differ depending on the port type and include options up to the port's maximum capability.
When
Auto Negotiate
(the default) is selected, the port negotiates an appropriate link speed
with its link partner.
Port Description
Add a description of the interface (optional).
