Prerequisites
Before you perform this procedure, make sure that you have a T-15 Torx screwdriver available.
Procedure

Disconnect all peripheral cables from the server.

Remove the heatsink:
a.
Loosen the heatsink screws following the sequence shown in the following images.
b.
Lift the heatsink away from the processor.
The arrow in the corner of the following images points to the direction of the server release lever.
