Syntax
ping
host
Parameters
host
: Destination IP address (in dotted decimal notation), URL, or host name (a string of 1 to 20 characters).
Description
Use the
ping
command to ping a specified destination.
You can enter
Ctrl
+
C
to terminate a ping operation.
Examples
# Ping IP address 1.1.2.2.
