5.
Slowly pull the SAS hard drive cage out of the server until there is enough
room to reach behind the SAS hard drive cage.
6.
Disconnect all cables from the back of the SAS hard drive cage.
7.
Disconnect and remove the power and SAS cables, if applicable.
To replace the SAS-SATA hard drive cage, perform the following procedures:
NOTE: You must provide a SAS controller before proceeding with
the SAS hard drive cage installation.

Power down the server ("Powering down the server" on page
18
).
2.
Remove all hard drives ("Removing a hot-plug SCSI hard drive" on page
50
)
and hard drive blanks ("Removing a hard drive blank" on page
49
).
3.
Extend the server from the rack.
4.
Remove the access panel ("Removing the access panel" on page
19
).
5.
Install the SAS controller. Refer to the directions provided with the controller
for installation instructions.
6.
Route and connect the power cable to the power cable connector.
