Create Failover Group
on the APA main page to open the
Create Failover Group
page as shown in
Figure 3-12
.

Select a
Link Aggregate Instance
, or accept the default. If you select a different value, the
display refreshes.

Select a
Failover Policy
, if you do not want to accept the default. If you select a different
value, the display refreshes.

Select the ports to include in the failover group.
NOTE:
Before adding ports to a failover group, you must check link connectivity between
the ports.

Enter a
Priority
, if you are creating a failover group with a priority-based failover policy.
6.
Enter a
Cost
, if you are creating failover group with a cost-based failover policy.
7.
Click
Advanced Parameters
to display additional failover group parameters.
Enter the failover group parameters you want.
8.
Select the
Configuration Options
you want.
9.
Click
OK
to create a failover group and set the attributes. An Operation Successful page
appears, confirming the creation of the failover group and the updating of the APA
configuration.
10. Click
OK
. The APA main page displays, showing the newly created failover group.
By default, SMH changes the current APA configuration and saves the information and APA
configuration to the
/etc/rc.config.d/hp_apaconf

/etc/rc.config.d/
