The following example shows multiple APs installed to offer public access networking at
several different physical locations. A single controller is used to manage the devices and
control access to the wireless network.
Autonomous mode
When operating in autonomous mode, APs are managed individually using their integrated
management tool. This mode is suited to small scale deployments that can benefit from easy
integration of wireless services into an existing network infrastructure.
Autonomous APs do not provide the benefits of centralized management and monitoring.
