Remove the access panel (on page 37).

Remove all the hot-swappable HDDs assemblies (on page 19).

Remove the front control board (on page 38).

Disconnect all the cables from the HDD backplane. 

6.

 

Remove the screws securing the HDD backplane assembly to the chassis. 

7.

 

Release the HDD backplane assembly from the guide tabs on the chassis, and then remove the HDD 
backplane. 

 

8.

 

Remove the screws securing the HDD backplane to the HDD assembly bracket (1).
