Line Commands

speed

The

speed

Line Configuration mode command sets the line baud rate. To return to the default

configuration, use the

form of the command.

Syntax

speed

bps

no speed

Parameters

bps

— Baud rate in bits per second (bps). Possible values are 2400, 9600, 19200, 38400,

57600 and 115200.

Default Setting

The default speed is 9600 bps.

Command Mode

Line Configuration (console) mode

Command Usage

This command is available only on the line console.

The configured speed is applied when Autobaud is disabled. This configuration applies only to
the current session.

Example

The following command configures the line baud rate to 115200.
