operator's
check
should

performed
when
you
receive
your
analyzer

and
any
time
you
wish
to
be
condent
that
the
analyzer
is
working
properly
.
The
operator's
check
does
not
verify
that
the
analyzer
is
performing
to
specications
.
Its
purpose
is
to
provide
you
with
a
high
degree
of
condence
that
the
analyzer
is
performing
properly
if
it
passes
.
The
operator's
check
consists
of
making
a
transmission
measurement
with
the
cable
that
was
supplied
with
your
analyzer
,
a
reection
measurement
with
the
same
cable
,
and
a
measurement
with
a
50
(or
75)
termination.
Use
a
known-good
load,
such
as
one
from
calibration
kit
HP
85032B/E
(50)
or
HP
85036B/E
(75).
