The
Common
Commands
The
IEEE
488.2
standard
has
a
list
of
reserved
commands
,
called
common
commands
.
These
are
the
commands
that
start
with
an
asterisk.
Some
of
these
commands
must
be
implemented
by
any
instrument
using
the
standard,
others
are
optional.
The
tunable
laser
source
implements
all
the
necessary
commands
,
and
some
optional
ones
.
This
chapter
describes
the
implemented
commands
.
Common
Status
Information
There
are
four
registers
for
the
common
status
information.
Two
of
these
are
status-registers
and
two
are
enable-registers
.
These
registers
conform
to
the
IEEE
Standard
488.2-1987.
