Remove the template from the wall after the wall open-

ings are marked. The wall opening location markings 

should be present on the wall. Ensure the wall studs 

do not interfere with the wall opening.

Pilot

Hole

Drill a pilot hole inside of the traced circle so that a saw can 

be used to cut the wall openings out.

Use a saw to cut the wall openings out of the wall and  

discard the inner circle debris. Add a horizontal cross brace 

above the wall opening between the wall studs to prevent 

insulation from contacting the vent tube. The wall is now 

prepared for the installation of the unit.
