Disc levelling
For all operating conditions, working depths and
travel speeds, disc feeders are installed behind
the tines to prevent ridge formation.
The discs distribute the thrown up soil and level
the ground in front of the packer.
Spade discs
Setting the depth
The cultivation depth must be adjusted to the
operating conditions (working depth of tines,
working speed, amount and type of harvest
residues) in the field.
Adjustment cranks
To set the depth turn the adjusting cranks until
the thrown-up soil by the tines is levelled
Ensure all spindles are set identically
Changing the coulter
The following must be observed when replacing
components of the MulchMix, LD and ULD coul-
ter (coulter tips, guide plates, wings):

Use only original HORSCH wear items.
¾
Use new screws and nuts with each replace-
ment.
¾
Check for correct seating of the four-cornered
shaft coulter screws in the coulter tips and
guide plates:

Observe the sequence when tightening
MulchMix coulter tips together with guide
plates:

Tighten the screw connections for mounting
the wings on the nut. Do not tighten on the
screw head.
¾
Tighten all screw connections with a nutrunner
or torque spanner.
¾
Observe the tightening torque: 160 ± 10 Nm
