Connecting the hydraulic system
Connect the hydraulic system only
when the hydraulics have been
de-pressurized on both machine and
equipment sides.
With the traction intensifier switched on the
drawbar is pushed down in the field and more
weight is thereby applied to the tractor.
The traction intensifier must always be switched
off before hitching and unhitching. For this pur
-
pose turn the lock valve towards the back to
position "0" (see symbol plate).
Hydraulic block traction booster with symbol plate
For two-point hitching a drawbar weight (250 kg)
is mounted as standard (optional for swinging
drawbar hitching). It ensures a positive tongue
load of the machine and improves the travel
characteristic.
Setting/Operation
Hitching and unhitching the
machine
No persons are to remain between the
tractor and the machine during hitching.
Hitching
¾
Hitch the machine to the towing apparatus of
the tractor.
When using ball hitch or swinging drawbar hitch-
ing plug the hydraulic hoses on first, so that the
drawbar can be adjusted in height.
With two-point hitching and rigid drawbar the
work for the hydraulic drawbar is not necessary.
¾
Terrano 7 FM: Push in the outer levelling discs
because of the transport height.
¾
Close the lock valve on the hydraulic hose for
the drawbar cylinder.
¾
Switch off the traction booster by the lock
valve (position "0", see symbol plate).
¾
Connect all hydraulic lines, open the lock
valve on the hydraulic coupling and, if neces-
sary, correct the height of the drawbar.
¾
Hitch the machine to the tractor.
¾
Connect the lighting equipment plug and
check the function.
¾
Connect the brake line (optional) and check
the function.
¾
Release the parking brake (optional).
¾
Lift the machine. Lift the machine.
¾
Fold side sections in.
¾
Fold the parking support to the transportation
position.
¾
Insert spacers on the undercarriage cylinders
and on the hydraulic cylinder of the drawbar
and lower the machine on these spacers.
The cover protects the piston rod and should,
therefore, always be kept closed.
¾
Secure control units against unintended op-
eration.
Do not transport the machine in a posi-
tion higher than necessary. Pay atten-
tion to the height in regard to bridges
and low overhead power lines.
