Setting the drilling depth
¾
Remove clips from the upper link bar to
achieve deeper placement.
The position of the press roller must be ad-
justed from a drilling depth of approx. 6 cm,
depending on the soil conditions, to align the
coulter again horizontally. Follow the
Press
roller
section in this regard.
¾
Always perform the fine adjustment of the
drilling depth via aluminium clips on the up-
per link bar.
NOTE
Danger of drilling faults.
¾
Adjust the coulters so that they run horizon-
tally above the ground.
¾
Do not select the coulter pressure too high.
The wheels of the packer would be lifted,
consolidation is no longer ensured.
Example of an incorrectly adjusted press roller:
The press roller is adjusted too high, the coulter/
coupling bars are not parallel to the ground.
NOTE
¾
Always insert aluminium clips on lift cylinders
and upper link bar. This keeps the coulter
parallel to the ground.
Compared to the lift cylinders, one blue clip more
or less can be inserted on the upper link bar.
¾
In case of major changes, adjust the number
of clips on the lift cylinders.
Drilling depth setting
NOTE
Drilling depth and coulter pressure affect each
other.
¾
Check the seed placement in the field and
correct as required after each change of the
coulter pressure or drilling depth.

Setting the drilling depth
¾
Fill the piston rods of the lift cylinders (A) with
a yellow and a red aluminium clip.
¾
Insert a yellow aluminium clip on the upper
link bar (B) of the coulter rail at each point and
fill it in addition with so many blue aluminium
clips until the drilling depth is 0 cm.
¾
Set the coulter pressure cranks (C) to posi-
tion 3.
The adjusted drilling depth is now approx.
0 cm, the coulter pressure is around 30 - 40 %
of the maximum value.
¾
Make sure the press roller is fastened in the
rear position. Follow the
Press roller
section in
this regard.
