Checking the setting
Before filling in seed, you should check the set
-
ting on the metering unit.
•
Does the metering disc match the seed and
has the E-Manager been set accordingly?
•
Does the outside scraper been chose and set
to match the fruit?
•
Does the inside scraper match the fruit?
•
Does the sliding bridge match the fruit?
•
Has the grain feed gate been adjusted?
•
Has the correct downpipe been cleaned in-
side?
•
Are all components free of any deposits?
Notes on
vacuum
The possible vacuum range is specified in the
table.
Depending on grain shape, weight, metering
disc and application conditions an adaptation
is required.
As a rule of thumb the required vacuum level
needs to be adjusted higher for smaller metering
disc holes / slots than for bigger ones.
For sun flowers the vacuum must always be
set as low as possible.
NOTE
The effect of the vacuum setting only becomes
apparent in a test.
Correction values (Maestro 16 SW)
The above table values for the vacuum were
measured at a different point in the machine
than the values which are shown by the pressure
gauge. This leads to different measuring values
(line lengths).
The following deviation must therefore be taken
into consideration when adjusting:
Table

52 mbar
80 mbar
