NOTE

Drilling must be checked when starting work
and, in case of larger fields also regularly in
between!
The working quality essentially depends on the
adjustments and checks made prior to and dur-
ing use, as well as on regular care and mainte-
nance of the machine.

Carry out all maintenance tasks and adjust-
ments before starting to work.
Machine
¾
Have the hydraulic lines been connected
without being mixed up by mistake?
¾
Has the machine been levelled in working
position and the drilling depth correctly ad-
justed?
Fan
¾
Is the hydraulic fan connected to a pressure-
free return flow?
¾
Are fan wheel and intake grille clean?
¾
Is the fan wheel tightly mounted on the shaft?
¾
Are fan speed and drive pressure not ex-
ceeded?
Pneumatic system
¾
Do the seed hoses not sag and are they free
of water and deposits?
¾
Are all air lines between fan and coulters leak
tight and firmly connected?
¾
Has the air volume been set correctly on the
fan? Does the seed bounce out of the seed
furrow, or remain in the pipes and cause
blockage?
Drill unit
¾
Have the fitting metering discs been selected
and installed in all metering units?
¾
Have all metering units been correctly se-
lected or adjusted (outside scraper, inside
scraper, grain feed gate)?
¾
Has the trap roller been adjusted correctly?
¾
Have the fitting press rollers been selected
and correctly adjusted?
¾
Have the clearing stars (option) been adjusted
correctly?
¾
Has the vacuum been set correctly?
¾
Has the drilling depth been adjusted correctly?
¾
Has the coulter pressure (fan and springs on
drill units behind the tractor tracks) been set
correctly?
¾
Has the drill unit been aligned correctly (paral-
lel guide horizontal)?
