Parking
DANGER
Serious accidents caused by the machine roll-
ing away!
¾
Before unhitching secure the machine with
the parking brake and wheel chocks.
¾
When unhitching machines with pneumatic
brake always disconnect the
red
connection
(supply line) first.
WARNING
Risk of accident due to insufficient stability
¾
The machine has a negative drawbar load
during the folding process and when the seed
bar is not lowered.
To prevent the drawbar from flinging upward,
the machine may only be unhitched when the
seed bar is in transport position or completely
lowered to the ground.
¾
With negative drawbar load the machine may
tilt back and cause severe injury to persons.
Lower the seed bar always correctly on the
ground before unhitching!
¾
Park the machine on a flat, paved surface.
¾
Secure the machine with wheel chocks
against rolling away.
¾
Apply the parking brake (option).
NOTE
¾
Clean the machine and prepare properly
before parking it for an extended period; see
chapter
Care and Maintenance.
¾
Thoroughly clean hopper and fertiliser equip
-
ment. Fertiliser is aggressive and speeds up
the corrosion process. It especially attacks
galvanised components like bolts.
¾
Clean the metering unit.
¾
Preferably park the drill in a shed so that no
moisture can accumulate in hopper, metering
unit and the seed pipes.
Parking the machine
1.
Machine always on horizontal firm ground.
2. Apply the tractor brake.
3. Secure the machine with wheel chocks
against rolling away. Position the wheel
chocks under the side of the tyres pointing
to the downward slope.
4. Apply the parking brake (option).
5. Parking outdoors:
- Unfold the machine.
Otherwise there is a risk that water may
run through e.g. the downpipes into the
metering units and other components.
- Disassemble the trap rollers or support
the frame.
- For this purpose insert aluminium clips at
the hydraulic cylinders for lift hydraulics
and at the support wheels.
- Lower the seed bar.
Parking under a roof:
The machine can be parked in folded condi-
tion.
6. Disconnect the hydraulic connections and
hook into bracket devices.
