4. Connecting the charger:
a)
When using a
standing charger,
the battery must be connected with the correct
polarity (plus to plus and minus to minus) to the charger while it is switched off.
Remove the battery receptacle from the vehicle plug and connect it to the charging
plug of the charger. This step is not necessary for onboard chargers, as the
charger and battery are firmly connected.
b)
When using an
onboard charger,
remove the power cable from the charger
housing and connect it to the power supply.
When using onboard chargers, a potential-free changeover contact activates an immobiliser in
the vehicle as soon as the charger is connected to the power supply. The appropriate connection
between vehicle and onboard chargers can be made specific to the vehicle by means of a
terminal strip or AMP Super Seal connector.

terminated manually before the automatic switch-off (except for intermediate charging).
If the battery is switched off early, it will be undercharged. This reduces the available
capacity of the battery.
Use of the pause key:
When using one-phase chargers, the connection to the power cable can be made via a low heat
device socket in accordance with IEC 60320, in order to comply with the international
requirements relating to power plug types.
