Resolution of counter. The quadrature
code produced by encoders has 4
state changes (edges) per quadrature
cycle (one per ¼ cycle). A 250 CPR
encoder has 250 cycles, (1000
pulses) per revolution. X1 decoding
means that the external electronics
pulses once per full cycle. X2 pulses
twice per cycle. X4 pulses every
quadrature state.
