Mounting Operating device
4.2.1
Wall mounting
Attach the housing on the 3 fixing holes (A) on a firm mounting
substrate. To fix securely, use screws that are suitable for the mounting
surface in question. Depending on the mounting substrate, with or
without dowel.
Tighten the screws finger-tight.
Screw the
tear-off protection
(B) directly to the mounting surface
using the enclosed screw and spacer sleeve. Dowels may be
necessary, depending on the mounting surface.
4.2.2
Installation on DIN f.m. socket
Remove the PCB:
The PCB has to be removed in order to attach the bottom of the
housing to a f.m. socket. To do this, press the PCB holder (F) outwards
and remove the PCB from the housing.
Installation:
The f.m. socket or cavity wall box is to be inserted in such a way that the
holes for the fastening screws are in a horizontal position (see figure).
There are two holes spaced 60 mm apart in bottom of the housing for
attaching to the f.m. boxes. Tighten the screws until they are hand-tight.
Insert the PCB again:
Make sure that the foil over the return spring is still in the right position
(not moved).
Place the PCB in the two holders on the left and press the PCB upwards
until it stops.
Press the PCB holder (F) outwards so that the PCB can be easily
pressed to the bottom of the housing.
Release the PCB holder (F). The PCB holder should now hold the PCB
in place correctly.
Then screw the tear-off protection (B) directly onto the mounting
substrate using the included screw and spacer. This may require using
a screw anchor depending on the mounting substrate.
4.2.3
Mounting using DUO Switching Module f.m.
If the Doorguard is used combination with the 230V AC / 8A f.m. DUO
relay module (010121.17), you can installed the DUO relay module
directly behind the Doorguard in a f.m. socket or in-wall box (hidden
installation).
The installation procedure is the same as described in the previous
chapter.
The DUO relay module is fastened to the box without a cover plate and together with the bottom of the housing of
the Doorguard.
