Mode selector switch
[HSM1390i]
Use the mode selector switch to change the work mode (automatic
adjustment) of the snow thrower. The work mode can be selected
from one of three modes: AUTO, POWER, or SELF.
Characteristics of AUTO mode:
• Travel speed is automatically adjusted according to the workload,
which reduces the tendency of snow to pile up in front of the snow
thrower.
• Engine speed is automatically adjusted according to the workload
so the snow discharge distance remains constant.
• The auger is automatically raised when the snow thrower is
reversing. In case the auger clutch switch is in the ON position, the
auger is automatically returned to the original position when the
snow thrower begins moving forward again.
• Forward speed is set low. Select another mode to make the snow
thrower travel faster.
