Trunk Main Switch
The trunk main switch disables the
trunk release button on the smart
entry remote, trunk release button on
the trunk lid, and trunk opener on the
driver’s door to protect luggage in
the trunk.
1. Make sure the rear seat-back is
not folded down.
2. Turn off the trunk main switch
located in the glove box.
3. Lock the glove box.
If you need to give the key to someone else, remove the built-in key from the
smart entry remote by sliding the release knob, and give the remote as a valet
key.

Using the Front Door Inner Handle
Pull the front door innder handle. The
door unlocks and opens in one motion.
Unlocking and opening the driver’s door
from the inner handle unlocks all other
doors and the fuel fill door. This feature
requires front seat occupants never
pull a front door handle while
the vehicle is in motion. Children
should always ride in a rear seat
where childproof door locks are
provided.

Using the Trunk Opener
Press and hold the trunk opener on
the driver’s door to unlock and open
the trunk.

Childproof Door Locks
The childproof door locks prevent the
rear doors from being opened from the
inside regardless of the position of the
lock tab.
Slide the lever in the rear door to the
lock position and close the door.
Open the door using the outer door
handle. To open the door from the
inside when the childproof door lock is on, put the lock tab in the unlock
position, lower the rear window, put your hand out of the window, and pull
the outside door handle.

Using the Master Door Lock Switch
Press the master door lock swithc in
(as shown in image) to lock or unlock
all doors and the fuel fill door. When
you lock/unlock either front door
using the master lock switch, all the
other doors lock/unlock at the same
time.

Door Operation
Use several methods to lock or unlock the doors.

Using the Lock Tab
To lock:
Push the lock tab forward.
When you lock the door using the lock
tab on the door, all the other doors
and the fuel fill door lock at the same
time.
To unlock:
Pull the lock tab rearward.
When you unlock the lock tab on the
driver’s door, only the driver’s door
will unlock.
