LP-GAS SYSTEMS --- SECTION 7 • 263
NEPTUNE 2004
7
There are several methods
that can be used to monitor the
amount of fuel in the LP-Gas
tank. A small gauge is located on
the LP-Gas tank. This non-
adjustable gauge provides a
quick view of the tank capacity.
The System Control Center
incorporates a monitor panel.
An optional monitor panel
may be located in the service
center to monitor the LP-Gas
tank from the exterior of the
motorhome.
Since the actual fill capacity
of the LP Tank is 80% the tank
gauge will read just over the ¾
mark and the monitor panel will
read the same. If the indication
for the monitor panel is red, this
would indicate a critical warning.
If you smell gas (a rotten egg or sulfur smell) at any
time, perform the following steps immediately:
• Shut off gas appliances.
• Manually turn off the primary shut-off valve at
the LP-Gas tank.
•
Do not operate any electric switch.
This can
produce a spark and ignite the gas.
• Open windows and doors.
• Evacuate the motorhome. Stay clear of the
surrounding area.
• Keep open flames, spark producing devices
and smoking material out of the area.
• Contact a qualified service technician to find the
source and repair the gas leak.
WARNING: A fire or explosion from ignited gas or gas fumes can
seriously injure person(s) or cause death.
