3.3 Light influence from outside
Another reason for not reliable measuring results can be strong light sources close to the
camera. Common error is an open door or light from outside. This light directly hits the cameras
from the aligner. To avoid this, please close the door while measurement or darken the room.
The software automatically controls the exposure of the cameras as needed for front and rear
targets.
When the ambient light that hits the front and rear view mirror, is the same, the software needed
to make only one image to the complete evaluation. The evaluation is faster.
When the ambient light that hits the front and rear-view mirror is different, the camera must take
more pictures on the front and back with different exposures. (This is the reason for the "flicker",
which sometimes happens in the camera view.) This process takes more time, the evaluation is
slower.
That is the reason why different lights on front and rear targets should be avoided.
3.4 Jumping values
The values are not static, It is normal that they jump on the display, if they stand between two
numbers, so don't care about 2 or 3 minutes. A bigger change of values also can be the
influence of extraneous light.
Check the following points:
- the following entry in the config.ini in the directory D:\ ssence:
- if targets are clean targets (check with small car icon in the middle of the screen)
- No lights from outside
- No reflection light from blank chassis of the vehicle (Check with [F11]))
- Be sure to have a good earth on the machine (especially camera bar)
