DRAWING UP THE THREAD FROM THE BOBBIN
Before sewing, it is necessary to draw up some thread from the bobbin. Raise
the presser foot lifter (28) and remove the bobbin cover plate (18).
34. Hold the upper thread loosely with your left hand and rotate the needle
raising and lowering dial (23) towards yourself (counter-clockwise) with
your right hand, lowering the needle first, continue to the point when the
needle is in the uppermost position.
35. Slightly pull the upper thread up and grab the bobbin thread, which is
passed through the needle plate slot.
36. Pull both thread tails to the back of the machine, under the presser
foot, leaving around 15 cm of loose thread tails.
37. Replace the bobbin cover plate.
