Finding the Controls
The control panel of the unit is divided into three equal parts: left, middle and right.
Left part:
This part contains the telephone keypad laid out in the conventional telephone arrangement with a “nib”
on the 5 button. Below the keypad are four circular buttons in a horizontal row: from left to right, FLASH,
REDIAL, MUTE and MONITOR. The REDIAL button is also the PAUSE button.
Middle part:
At the top middle part of the panel is a smooth surface. This is the display. Immediately below the display

the four vertical buttons on the left is a long oval button. This is the AUTO ANSWER button. To the right
of this button is a circular button. This is the MENU button. To the right of these buttons is the
NAVIGATOR control, which is a large cross control with four active areas. The active areas are the 12

MINUS keys respectively. These are also the VOLUME control increase and decrease keys. The 3 and 9
o’clock positions are the RIGHT and LEFT arrow keys.
Right part:
At the top are two oval buttons. The upper one is the CALLER ID button. The lower one is the HELP
button. Below the HELP button is a circular button marked with an indented page icon. This is the COPY
START button. Below this is a circular button, with a minus-shaped protrusion, marked with an indented
