2. Set the machine to stitch 12 and install the satin stitch foot (not included,
it is an all-purpose foot).
3. When repairing a garment with broken elastic, first remove the old elastic
from the garment, then iron out.
4. Divide both the elastic and the area of the garment where the elastic will
be sewn into quarters.
5. Place a pin at the quarter markings on both the elastic and the garment.
6. Gently pull the elastic to cover the fabric evenly as you sew.
MANUAL BUTTONHOLE SEWING
1. Put the fabric under the presser foot (5) and lower the presser foot on the
fabric where you need to sew the buttonhole. Select stitch 13.
2. Press the foot controller to sew 5-6 stitches at low speed, then stop sewing
(Fig. a).
3. Select stitch 14. Press the foot controller and sew the stitch of a suitable
length on the fabric. Release the foot controller. Ensure that the stitch is
straight (Fig. b).
4. Select stitch 15. Press the foot controller to sew 5-6 stitches at low speed,
then release the foot controller (Fig. c).
5. Raise the presser foot (5) and rotate the fabric by 180° (Fig. d).
6. Select stitch 16. Press the foot controller and finish the buttonhole sewing
(Fig. e).
DARNING PLATE
