Double-check all of the fasteners to ensure that they're tight.
l
Do not overtighten any screws that thread into nylon or composite material, or the material may strip out. Screws threaded into nylon
or composite material need only be tightened snugly.
l
If you have difficulty sliding the receiver antenna wire through the antenna support tube, first pull the antenna wire through your fingers
several times to straighten it, then lightly wet the antenna wire with glass cleaner. The glass cleaner will make the antenna wire slide
through the antenna support tube much easier.
l
Leave any excess antenna wire hanging from the top of the antenna support tube. Under no circumstances should you cut the antenna
wire shorter.
l
During use, the transmitter antenna should be extended fully.
l
A foam block is included in the battery holder that can be removed to allow the use of a 7 cell Ni-Cd or Ni-MH battery pack or a 3S Li-Po
battery pack.
l
The ESC battery leads feature a high-quality T-Style connector. When soldering a compatible connector to your battery pack, or if you
prefer to change the connector on the ESC, make sure to observe correct polarity and use heat-shrink tubing to insulate the solder joints.
l
Always make sure that you install the body when driving your
Outlaw RTR Brushless Buggy
. If your
Outlaw RTR Brushless Buggy
flips over, the body will help protect the chassis and its components.
l
Before checking the steering and throttle controls, we recommend placing the
Outlaw RTR Brushless Buggy
on a car stand so that
the wheels are off the ground. This will ensure your safety and the safety of your model while testing the throttle control.
l
If the motor does not seem to be producing full power, double-check that your battery pack is fully charged, then double-check that
the transmitter's throttle channel Forward EPA is set to Maximum. For more information, see page 15.
l
Make sure you always use fresh and/or fully charged transmitter batteries (if using Ni-Cds or Ni-MHs). Never allow the transmitter
batteries to run low or you could lose control of the model.
q
Push the transmitter antenna down into the antenna mounting hole in the top of the
transmitter.
q
Thread the antenna (clockwise) into place and tighten it
gently
until it stops.
IMPORTANT:
Do not force the antenna into place or tighten it too strongly. Doing
so could damage the antenna and/or the transmitter.
q
Remove the battery cover from the bottom of the transmitter by pushing firmly on the
battery cover in the direction of the arrow.
q
Verify that the transmitter is turned 'OFF'. The On/Off switch should be pushed toward
the back of the transmitter when 'OFF'.
