6.3.
After an accident/fall
If parts of the drive system (display, cables, motor, battery) are vi-
sibly damaged by an accident/fall, there is a risk of electric shock.
→ In this case, remove the batteries immediately. Have the drive system
checked by a Bosch eBike Expert dealer or HNF-NICOLAI dealer.
An accident/fall can damage load-bearing parts of your pe-
delec to such an extent that there is a risk of breakage.
→ After an accident visit an HNF-NICOLAI dealer to have damaged parts
such as frame, fork, handlebars, stem, seat post, pedal crank and pedals
checked and replaced if necessary.
6.4.
Batteries
The batteries are wearing parts, as they age over time (even without use) and addi-
tionally through use.
During use, it is mainly the power demand that determines the service life of the
batteries. Frequent use of high support levels reduces the service life of the batte-
ries.
During storage/non-use the following factors are relevant for the service life:
•
Storage temperature. Optimal: 0-20 °C.
Temperatures above 30 °C or parking the bike with battery in the blazing sun
will reduce the battery life.
•
State of charge. Optimum charge level: 30-60% (=2-3 LEDs)
Storage in full or empty condition reduces the service life.
