4. If none of the lights on the hand control is on (after
pressing any of the buttons), and the chair can
’
t elevate or
tilt.
Check that all the wires are correctly plugged in.
Try charging the chair for 24 hours after checking the
wires.
If the problem continues after this it might be a defect
battery or other electrical components.
Contact HMN for further advise and trouble shooting.
The picture on the left shows the control box:
Issues charging the chair.
1. If the chair wont charge after hours of trying.
Check that the outlet you are using has power in it,
and that it is turned on.
2. The chair won
’
t start charging, and the light indi-
cating charging on the hand control is not blinking.
At the top and to the right on the hand control is a
light indicating charging status. This light will blink if
the battery is charging.
At first when you plug the wire for charging in to an
outlet this light will not blink, it will just light up.
After some time the light will start to blink, and this
indicates that the chair is charging. The reason some
time might pass before it starts charging is that the
system is prepping the battery to receive power. This
might take extra time if the battery is cold, or the chair
is very low on power.
Try to reset the system as described above in the first
passage. If the problem continues contact HMN for
further advice.
3. The charging light on the
hand control is not lighting
up or blinking even if the
chair is plugged in to an
outlet.
Check that the charging
wire connected to the con-
trol box is correctly
plugged in. Check that the
red locking ring is mounted
inside the plug on the con-
trol box. This issue is nor-
mally because the charging
wire or the locking ring is
incorrectly mounted. It can
also be a faulty battery.
If the red locking ring is
mounted correctly it can
be seen through the plug
like on the picture to the
left:
