NOTE
: If [Freeze] is selected in [View mode settings area], the image mode corresponding
to a BSE signal image cannot be changed.
NOTE
: When [Shadow 1], [Shadow 2], or [TOPO] is selected, and then the image is
turned using the rotation function, the direction of the shadow changes accordingly.
If switching the image mode during observation, Auto B/C adjustment is executed.
NOTE
: Any change of the Image mode is not applied to an SE signal image.
NOTE
: When observing a mixed image of BSE and SE signals, it is recommended that
[COMPO] should be selected from the image mode.
NOTE
: When the value of D* (i.e. the distance from a specimen surface to a BSE
detector) displayed in the information area becomes larger, the contrast of the
image becomes weaker. In particular, if the image mode is [Shadow 1], [Shadow 2],
or [TOPO], that phenomenon will be remarkable. To achieve good contrast, pay
attention to the specimen height (see 4.2.2
6
,
7
).
*In the case where [Distance] is selected in the [Information] block. (See 4.3.28)
4. Preset Magnification
Figure 4.3.5-9 View Menu (Preset Magnification Menu)
Once selecting one of the two preset values that were set on the Preset Magnification
window (see 4.3.33), the magnification directly switches to that value. The [Preset] button
operation on the operation window allows the same process to be performed.
For the details, refer to 4.3.17 Preset Buttons.
