38 Troubleshooting
CONSOLE - SYMPTOMS
A. Is completely dead.
1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 14.
B. Controller displays “LOW BATTERY POW-
ER”.
1, 4, 6.
C. Displays HOLD or switches will not operate
boom valves.
2, 4, 5, 7.
D. Displays “NO SPD.”
4, 9, 14.
F. Displays “NO FLO.”
4, 11, 14.
G. Gallons per acre inaccurate.
4, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14.
H. Gallons per acre fluctuates excessively or
RATE 1 or RATE 2 will not control normally.
4, 9, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18.
I. Acres inaccurate or does not count.
4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 14, 19.
J. Total gallons inaccurate or does not count.
4, 5, 7, 11, 12, 14, 19.
K. % ERROR reading fluctuates plus or minus
by more than 10%, or % ERROR continually
reads high or low by large percentage.
4, 9, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18.
L. Miles per hour inaccurate or reads 0.
4, 9, 10, 14.
M. Controller will not retain calibration or applica-
tion date.
4, 20.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
1. Battery voltage is below 10.0 volts.
2. Bad power cable or power cable fuse blown.
3. Battery connections reversed or not connect-
ed directly to battery.
4. Defective controller.
5. Remote run/hold switch is closed instead of
open.
6. Solenoid valve coil is drawing too much cur-
rent (unplug solenoid).
7. Remote RUN/HOLD switch is not functioning.
8. Boom width is not entered correctly, or boom
switch is not turned on.
9. Speed sensor problem; see speed sensor
trouble shooting.
10. Distance calibration factor not correctly en-
tered.
11. Flowmeter problem; see Fowmeter trouble
shooting.
12. Flowmeter calibration not correctly entered.
13. Servo valve not functioning properly; see ser-
vo valve troubleshooting.
14. Bad cable.
15. Pump or pump hoses are surging or sucking
air.
16. Incorrect nozzle size, or driving too fast or too
slow.
17. Target applicable rate is set beyond the range
of your system; go to page 13 (pre-spraying
system check).
18. Calibration question number 5 “Servo Loca-
tion?” answered incorrectly.
19. Total gallons, or acres over 9999.
20. Controller memory is defective.
