• How does The Vest® Airway Clearance System effectively treat areas of
my lungs?
– The system is designed to oscillate the chest wall to create
airflow by applying percussion to the lung area to treat the
lobes of the lung.
• How long should my Airway Clearance Therapy treatment session
last?
– Common prescriptions specify a treatment session Time to
be between 10 and 30 minutes. Prescribed treatment session
times may be different. Refer to the physician’s order.
• How often should my treatment sessions be given?
– The frequency of treatment sessions depends on your
underlying disease, age, and state of health. Your physician
will prescribe a schedule for your individual needs.
• Is chest physiotherapy still necessary?
