4.16 IV Pole/Arm Assembly
Tools required:
#2 phillips head screwdriver 5/32" hex key allen wrench
Screwdriver
Torque wrench
5/32" hex key allen bit
Ratchet
9/16" socket
Adjustable wrench
6 mm allen wrench
WARNING:
Use proper lifting methods. Failure to do so could result in personal
injury or equipment damage.
WARNING:
Two people are recommended for this procedure. The length of the IV
pole/arm assembly may cause handling problems. Personal injury or
equipment damage could occur.
Removal
1. Place the On/Standby switch to the Standby position.
SHOCK HAZARD:
To minimize the risk of electrical shock or damage to equipment,
disconnect all electrical power to the CarePorter™ Cart before working
on it. Failure to do so could result in personal injury or equipment
damage.
2. Unplug the unit from its power source.
3. Disconnect the battery pack (refer to procedure 4.1).
4. Set the brake casters to the brake position.
5. Using the #2 phillips head screwdriver, remove the self-tapping screw (L)
that secures the green ground wire (M) to the hole (N) located on the front
of the base assembly (B) (see figure 4-18 on page 4-48).
