Transport Power Module (TPM) Battery Pack
Tools required:
None
WARNING:
Replace the battery pack only with the manufacturer’s equipment
supplied by Hill-Rom. Failure to do so could result in personal injury or
equipment damage.
WARNING:
Do not discard the battery pack into a fire. The battery pack may
explode, and possible personal injury or equipment damage could
occur.
WARNING:
Do not mutilate or attempt to disassemble the battery pack. Personal
injury or equipment damage could occur.
SHOCK HAZARD:
Ensure that proper methods are used when handling the battery pack.
A battery pack can present a risk of electric shock. Personal injury could
occur.
Removal
1. Place the On/Standby switch to the Standby position.
SHOCK HAZARD:
To minimize the risk of electrical shock or damage to equipment,
disconnect all electrical power to the CarePorter™ Cart before working
on it. Failure to do so could result in personal injury or equipment
damage.
2. Unplug the unit from its power source.
3. Set the brake casters to the brake position.
4. Open the TPM battery pack compartment (A) (see figure 4-1 on page 4-6).
