Step 3
ECM connector
C1
still disconnected.
Ignition
ON
.
Using a DMM, measure the voltage between ECM connector
C1 Terminal 9
(Tan) and
Terminal 10
(White).
If equal to 4.8-5.2V:
Proceed to Step 4.
If less than 4.8V:
Proceed to Step 5.
If greater than 5.2V:
Proceed to Step 19.

Step 1
Does the vehicle start and run?
Yes:
Proceed to Step 2.
No:
Proceed to Step 13.

Fuel Gauge Non-operation
DMM
V
Never probe an electrical connection with anything other than an appropriately
sized shaped test lead. Doing so may result in damage to components.
Step 2
Ignition
OFF.
Disconnect ECM connector
C1
.
Inspect for damage or corrosion.
Damage or corrosion found:
Repair damage. Refer to harness and
wire repair procedure DSM.0036.
Perform System Verification
Procedure.
No damage or corrosion found:
Proceed to Step 3.
