Introduction
The HPE FM 3180 fabric module is a 48 port 25 GbE and 8 port 100 GbE fabric module in a 1U form
factor that provides 2.0 Tbps Bandwidth, ideally suited for Datacenter top of rack deployments.
The FM 3180 supports port level configuration of 48 10 GbE or 25 GbE SFP ports and eight 100 GbE
QSFP28 ports. It provides superior low latency and power efficiency, while offering high reliability
features such as redundant and hot swappable power supplies and fans in forward and reverse airflow
configurations.

The FM 3180 consists of the following front-panel network ports:
•
48 SFP28 ports (1 - 48) which can be at 1x10 GbE or 1x25 GbE as Access ports.
•
2 QSFP28 ports (49 and 50) that operate as 4x10 GbE or 4x25 GbE ports for Access ports.
•
6 QSFP28 ports (51 - 56) that operate as 4x10 GbE or 4x25 GbE ports for Composable Fabric ports.

You can open a support case by contacting the HPE Advanced Support Center at 1-800-633-3600. Note
that customers will be asked to provide their Support Agreement ID (SAID) so that the support agent can
provide the full level of support to which the customer is entitled and see the details of the equipment
covered. Alternatively, the customer could provide the serial number of the device under support.

Note: To log a case directly in HPE Support Center you will need both an HPE Passport account and a
valid Service Agreement ID (SAID). In May 2019, legacy Plexxi customers will receive HPE SAID
